1940s Indian Scout Dirt Racer Steffens
« on: October 01, 2017, 01:08:26 PM »
This past Saturday several of us were out riding and we stopped in the small city of Blanco in the Texas Hill Country.

We were sitting there when a younger man came up pointing  out my Indian Motorcycle and said that his dad was a factory Indian Rider in the 1940s.

He stated that his Dad rode his Indian Scout all over the country and won many championships riding for Indian.

He said his name was Steffens and that he was going back to his house and  wanted   to bring back some photos, and about 30 minutes he returned.

He had photos of his father on those Indian Scouts.  I took the best photos that I could with my phone so all could see.

Thanks for sharing Roadie.  Great pics and a great story about the chance meeting.  Love getting out and seeing America.   Your Hill Country is some great riding and even better eating.   Cooper's!  Worth repeating. Cooper's!
